GSL Biotech announced today that the Tel Aviv-based company, ProGen, Protein and Gene Engineering, has adopted SnapGene for for the design and documentation of new plasmids and for sequence analysis. ProGen now provides sequences and restriction maps to their customers exclusively using SnapGene's .dna file format.

In the final analysis we chose SnapGene as we found its graphical presentation most intuitive for molecular biologists. The graphic plasmid maps of SnapGene communicate simply and beautifully the elements within plasmid maps, and the software has the intelligence to identify many of the critical elements automatically. SnapGene also helps in our plasmid design as we use its tools such as primer design for Gibson assembly in our daily work.
