SnapGene 1.0.0 was released on April 19, 2012.
Overview
Introducing SnapGene Viewer
The free SnapGene Viewer includes the key visualization tools of SnapGene, and allows you to make DNA maps and design primers. Now you can share annotated sequence files with colleagues around the world.

Alignments, Part I
A new command in the View menu aligns a sequence trace with a SnapGene sequence. Future enhancements will enable you to align multiple sequences at once.

New Functionality
- A new command in the View menu aligns a sequence trace with a SnapGene sequence. Future enhancements will enable you to align multiple sequences at once.
- The free SnapGene Viewer includes the key visualization tools of SnapGene, and allows you to make DNA maps and design primers. Now you can share annotated sequence files with colleagues around the world.
