SnapGene Version 1.1.3
SnapGene 1.1.3 was released on June 29, 2012.
Overview
Many More Markers
For agarose gel simulations, SnapGene now provides a large set of commonly used molecular weight markers.

Stability Enhancements
This release corrects several issues, including inappropriate window closing on OS X and duplicated windows on Windows.
Enhancements
- SnapGene can now simulate agarose gels with over 80 conventional MW markers
- Updated common features database to 345 features
- Enhanced feature names when importing from GenBank.
- When using the New DNA File command if what appears to be a chromosome is pasted the "Detect Common Features" checkbox is no longer checked by default.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed a bug that requested the administrator password when performing software update on Mac OSX when it was not actually required.
- Fixed bugs with painting background colors in various pull down menus
- Fixed bugs with painting 5' terminal phosphates correctly on primers with non-hybridized regions.
- Fixed a bug with detecting multi-segmented common features by their protein sequence.
- Fixed glitches with drag selections when using the Sequence Trace viewer and Align dialogs.
- Fixed a bug that could result in SnapGene incorrectly insisting a file must be closed on slower computers. (reported by Nike)
- Fixed a bug that could result in multiple copies of SnapGene running on Windows. (reported by Joseph Park)
- Fixed a bug that could result in a crash when making selection within a manipulation dialog.
- Fixed a bug with painting some combinations of overlapping translated features in sequence view.
- Fixed a bug that prevented transferring features or primers while using the New DNA File dialog if after pasting a DNA sequence you modified the case using the Make Uppercase and or Make Lowercase commands.
