Enhancements

  • SnapGene can now simulate agarose gels with over 80 conventional MW markers

  • When using the New DNA File command if what appears to be a chromosome is pasted the “Detect Common Features” checkbox is no longer checked by default.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug that requested the administrator password when performing software update on Mac OSX when it was not actually required.
  • Fixed bugs with painting background colors in various pull down menus
  • Fixed bugs with painting 5′ terminal phosphates correctly on primers with non-hybridized regions.
  • Fixed a bug with detecting multi-segmented common features by their protein sequence.
  • Fixed glitches with drag selections when using the Sequence Trace viewer and Align dialogs.
  • Fixed a bug that could result in SnapGene incorrectly insisting a file must be closed on slower computers. (reported by Nike)
  • Fixed a bug that could result in multiple copies of SnapGene running on Windows. (reported by Joseph Park)
  • Fixed a bug that could result in a crash when making selection within a manipulation dialog.
  • Fixed a bug with painting some combinations of overlapping translated features in sequence view.
  • Fixed a bug that prevented transferring features or primers while using the New DNA File dialog if after pasting a DNA sequence you modified the case using the Make Uppercase and or Make Lowercase commands.
